Solstice Full Moon

A full moon rises behind the columns of the ruined Greek temple of Poseidon on Cape Sounion, south of Athens, on the night of the summer solstice. "The rising full moon at Sounion was a unique way to freeze a very special and breathtaking moment, involving our 4.5-billion-year-old celestial neighbor and the 2,500-year-old temple," Greek photographer Anthony Ayiomamitis says. The picture won high commendation.
